The premiere of the ethno-musical “Raymaly and Begimay”, based on the work of the great writer Chingiz Aitmatov, will take place at the National Philharmonic in Bishkek from February 22 to 28. This was announced by the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan.

The musical tells the story of a complex fate and a deep love between two characters. The project’s author and director is Kyrgyz People’s Artist Kyrgyzbay Osmonov, with the libretto written by Aaly Tutkuchev and directed by Ainura Kachkynbek kyzy.

This legendary story was featured in Aitmatov’s novel “The Day Lasts More Than a Hundred Years”, where the author explores the idea that true love knows no boundaries of age and equally captures the souls of both the young and the old.
