In honor of International Women’s Day, People’s Artist of Turkmenistan, Babasary Annamuradov, unveiled a solo exhibition at the Gallery of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan. The first visitors included students and faculty members, who praised the sculptor’s artistic excellence and his influence on young artists.

Annamuradov’s signature “golden” apples stood out as a key element of the exhibition, symbolizing the biblical forbidden fruit that represents the beginning of life. The highlight of the collection was the sculpture “Running on the Waves,” depicting three joyous young women rushing forward, their movements full of energy and excitement.

Another deeply touching piece was “Lovers,” portraying an elderly couple whose affection has withstood the test of time. The artist also presented a bust of his mother, capturing not only their physical resemblance but also an intimate emotional connection. Additionally, the exhibition featured graphic portraits, many dedicated to his muse, art historian Ogulabat Mukhadova, making this a heartfelt tribute for International Women’s Day.
