On February 5, during the state visit of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov to the People’s Republic of China, high-level talks were held with Chinese President Xi Jinping. As a result of the discussions, a Joint Statement on Deepening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries was adopted.

Additionally, several important agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed:

• Joint Declaration on deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the Kyrgyz Republic and the People’s Republic of China in a new era.
• Cooperation Program linking China’s “Belt and Road” Initiative with Kyrgyzstan’s National Development Program until 2026.
• Agreement on Social Security between the governments of Kyrgyzstan and China.
• Exchange of Notes on China’s assistance in developing an information system for Kyrgyzstan’s judicial system.
• Exchange of Notes regarding China’s support for a Kyrgyz laboratory development project.
• Exchange of Notes on medical equipment delivery to Osh City Hospital and the Presidential Hospital under China’s assistance program.
• Memorandum of Understanding between the Foreign Ministries of Kyrgyzstan and China to establish a Strategic Dialogue Mechanism.
• Memorandum of Understanding to facilitate group tourism between the two nations.
• Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministries of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan and China on economic development and reforms.
• Memorandum on Enhancing Digital Economy Cooperation between the relevant agencies of both countries.
• Memorandum on Expanding Cooperation in Artificial Intelligence between Kyrgyzstan and China.
• Memorandum on Investment Cooperation in Critical Minerals for Clean Energy Technologies.
• Protocols on Phytosanitary and Veterinary Requirements for the export of beans, washed wool, cashmere, and poultry meat from Kyrgyzstan to China.
• Memorandum on Cooperation in Science and Technology for Poverty Reduction.
• Memorandum on Strengthening Cooperation in Urban Development and Housing Construction.
• Memorandum on Strengthening Media Cooperation between Kyrgyz National Television and China Media Group.
• Memorandum on Establishing Friendly Relations between Naryn Region (Kyrgyzstan) and Heilongjiang Province (China).

The signing of these agreements signifies a new stage in Kyrgyz-Chinese relations, deepening economic, trade, infrastructure, scientific, and cultural ties.
