On 18 October 2024, Bishkek hosted the 13th Meeting of Ministers in charge of Economy and Trade of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). Kyrgyz Minister of Economy and Commerce, Daniiar Amangeldiev, chaired the event, attended by Secretary General Kubanychbek Omuraliev and top officials from Kazakhstan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Hungary.

In his remarks, Secretary General Omuraliev highlighted OTS’s efforts in advancing economic integration, expanding trade cooperation, and fostering a robust digital environment for e-commerce. He announced the finalization of the Digital Economy Partnership Agreement, set to be signed at the upcoming OTS Summit. Omuraliev also stressed the need for a Trade Facilitation Committee and agreements to promote free trade in services and investments.

The meeting concluded with the signing of the “Communiqué of the 13th meeting of Ministers of Economy and Trade of the OTS.”
