The 11th Summit of the Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) is scheduled to take place on November 6, 2024, in Bishkek, the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic. Hosted by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov, the summit will welcome the Presidents of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan, alongside representatives from OTS Observer States and the Secretary General of the OTS.
This year’s summit, themed “Empowering the Turkic World: Economic Integration, Sustainable Development, Digital Future, and Security for All,” will offer a high-level forum for discussions on economic and trade initiatives, digital transformation, security, and transport development within the region. Leaders will sign official documents on these projects and formalize agreements on cooperation in multiple sectors.
The summit’s agenda will also cover recent political and economic developments, providing a platform for leaders to address shared challenges and discuss ways to further enhance unity and collaboration across the Turkic World. A highlight of the event will be the formal handover of the Chairmanship-in-Office from Kazakhstan to the Kyrgyz Republic, with leaders signing the Bishkek Declaration and other key resolutions to mark the summit’s conclusion.
Before the summit, the OTS Council of Foreign Ministers will meet in Bishkek to finalize the summit’s agenda and documents to be signed by the Heads of State.
