The Foreign Economic Relations Board of Türkiye (DEIK) organized a meeting titled “Investment and Business Opportunities in the TRNC” at the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Commerce (KTTO) as part of DEIK’s visit to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). The event brought together Türkiye’s Ambassador to Nicosia Yasin Ekrem Serim, TRNC Minister of Economy and Energy Olgun Amcaoğlu, KTTO President Turgay Deniz, and representatives from business sectors.
In his speech, Ambassador Serim emphasized Türkiye’s commitment to supporting the TRNC’s sustainable economic growth. He announced that since 2016, entrepreneurship projects have received 65 million TL in funding, benefiting 160 entrepreneurs and creating 350 jobs. New grant programs totaling 110 million TL for industrial, agricultural, and tourism sectors were also announced, with applications opening next week.
Minister Amcaoğlu stressed the need to attract investments and improve economic infrastructure, highlighting progress in industrial zones and energy regulations. He also revealed the upcoming launch of a product tracking system in 2025, aimed at enhancing transparency and consumer protection.
